Post subject:  About Atc monitoring altitude and cap

Hello,

I made some flights with PF3 Demo, it seems it don't monitor in real time during the cruise phase. The last flight was from LFML to LFBO with Legacy Turbo at FL200.

-During cruise I deviated altitude from +1000ft and +-2 nautical on the right from the FP.

-I never had a Control Center recall concerning the deviation.

-So, finally I press "7" keyboard to have vector. This time control center have noticed the cap deviation but not the error altitude.

-To correct the cap, control center give me an erroneous cap to join the FP route. Aircraft position was 2Nautic on the right and parallel to the FP, cap 284. CC says to turn right 290 !??

-Info : Fsx Acc, Windows7 64U, PF3 Demo with Airway deviation distance=1, Rebuild PF3 database.

All this happens with all flights I did in PF3. Same flight with native Atc, VoxAtc and so... have not this problem.

I like PF3 (I like the taxi system, good immersion in overall) but I don't think I buy it if it appears that the Atc does not handle such situations.

Hi Richard,

I believe by default, ATC will not nag or correct you unless you are more than 4 miles off the airway. This value can be set according to your preferences and is on the Options #1 screen. You can reduce this value if you want to be held closer to the airway. Not sure about the altitude deviation in this case; Dave may need to look at the logs to determine exactly what happened.

Indeed you did. My apologies; I did not read the entire post carefully. You may want to send the contents of your Logs folder to Dave at dmarch@oncourse-software.co.uk and reference this forum post. He may be able to determine what happened.

Well, I sent all necessary stuf. No answer by now...

So, I made a new flight from LFBO to LFBD with the new version 01. Same problem : during cruise phase, Center monitors nothing except squawk.

Altitude and Cap=Nope.

I'm surprised to be the only one to have noticed this and to have no news from the developer.

Is anybody can test : during the cruise phase changed course and altitude in order to deviate the parameters of the flight plan. See if Control Center reacts. For me he don't.

I noticed too some glitches about vectors to Ils runway. I'll posted some details in an other topic.

Don't worry Dave 'will' get back to you.

As far as deviating from the fpl course check Options #1 - "Traffic advisories enroute" it works both ways as it were.
