Hi
Am playing with the demo at the moment. When I click on the PF3_ Display.exe utility programme, nothing happens. The programme doesn't start so I don't have access to the hotkey commands. I am running P3D v3.1 in windowed mode on Windows 10.
Also, if I am on the ground at a small airport and tune in multicom, I don't seem to have anything. There is no option to announce taxi or takeoff. The manual only talks about entering downwind etc, all commands whist you are in the air.
Any help much appreciated.
Thanks
John
Hi John,
16. PF3 DISPLAY UTILITY PROGRAM
16.1 General
This little program will display all the relevant PF3 hotkey commands
dependant on which ATC facility you are currently tuned to (eg. Ground,
Tower, etc). The utility will probably be more useful to those users running
more than one pc or multiple monitors, but it can also be used on a single pc
running FS/PF3, but if you're running FS in full screen mode you won't see it!
The display utility will be found in your ...\PF3\PF3_Displayer folder. Inside
this new folder you will see two files. One named PF3_Display.exe and one
named PF3_Disp.dat
To run PF3_Display simply double-click on it.
You may run this utility from any client PC running WideFS if you wish, just
copy the two files from the PF3_Display folder (PF3_Display.exe and
PF3_Disp.dat) or the complete folder to any location on the client and run it
from there. It will run from any location, provided the two supplied files are in
the same folder.
One small point that needs mentioning for those running this application
and/or PF3 on a client machine:-
PF3 needs to create one folder under the main FS folder named
PF3_Display, into which it will write a small text file when connected to flight
simulator. This file (named PF3_Freqs.dat) contains various facility
frequency information used by the PF3 Display program. Consequently, if
running PF3 and/or the PF3 Display utility they will need access to the main
flight simulator folder. Therefore your FS folder requires sharing and also the
option to ‘Allow network users to change my files’ must be turned ON.
