Post subject:  Problem processing Flightplan

Hi,

Just picked up PF3...migrated from PFE. Looks good!

I'm having a problem loading a flightplan. When I click on a flightplan, PF3 gives me an error "There was a problem whilst processing this flightplan!"

The flightplan was generated using PFPX for P3D. Here is is:

Hi Devin

Until Dave or one of the other IFR testers come along, just try adjusting your planned cruise altitude and see if that sorts your problem ;)

Good idea Kevin! Unfortunately it didn't work.

Can you change the plan to a .pln instead of an xml

I use FS Build for FS 2004 and FSX inc Steam and have no issues,so can't say about P3D

Never used that flight planner, so I'm guessing there's an incomparability somewhere. I will check it out tomorrow and report back.

Sorry for the inconvenience

I just loaded your fpl into FS9. Got an FS9 FPL which PF3 accepted. So there's another problem. Probably formatting somewhere that PF3 doesn't like. Spaces often screw up.
The routing is fine though. PF3 is happy with that.

OK. I tried exporting the plan as an fs9 plan from PFPX. Still gives me the same error.

I tried different altitudes also with no luck.

For fun, I tried loading the plan in P3D and resaved it using P3D's flight planner...same error.

No problem! I completely understand flightplans exported by different programs deliver various issues! I'm happy to help out if you need it.

Same problem here. Using fsx own flight planner. I am using PF3 on networked pc seperate from FSX pc.Tried copying plans from FSX PC to folder on networked pc to see if that was the issue but same result. We all love teething troubles, makes life interesting. :)

I should mention I'm on a networked PC also.

UPDATE:

I tried using FSCommander to export a flight plan. That one doesn't work either.

Well I've just installed on Pc running FSX and it works fine so guessing it is the network thats the problem.
