Hi. The VCP does not deploy flaps 1. If I do it myself he then does the rest as normal, but I went down to 180kts and still no flaps 1 set. (yes box is checked for VCP controls gear and flaps) I am using FS9 with CS 757-200, user profile from Avsim. Any ideas? Thanks |

Hi Dave...thank you for responding! Yes I'm using your 757 profile from Avsim...problem is that Flaps 1 dont come down until 170 kts...which is no good because I need Flaps one way higher...around 260-240 kts... and to make matters worse...fdc doesnt honer my changes in performance editor... I don't know if this is related but Pre start. Before PB and Before start checks all play in a row without being told to even though I'm in Semi auto mode... thanks again..tell me what you think |

mmm....interesting, that FDC wouldn't let you make changes? I use it in full auto mode.. As for making changes, what does FDC tell you or do? |

Hi. I have the black box log...default email is not found so i have to send the raw file manually. The only thing I noticed is that decent mode does not get activated until very late...does descent mode need to be activated for flaps 1 to come down? |

Thanks for the log. Firstly you are running a very old and unsupported version of FDC (3.9), the latest version is 3.14, so please download and install from the forum. Secondly, I cannot see ANY entry of 260 in your landing data taken from the performance file. 196 232 206 180 169 157 150 194 231 205 179 168 156 149 191 230 204 178 167 155 148 190 229 203 177 166 154 147 187 228 202 177 166 154 147 185 226 200 176 165 153 146 183 225 199 175 164 152 145 180 224 198 174 163 152 145 178 223 197 173 162 151 144 176 222 196 172 161 150 143 174 221 195 172 161 149 142 172 220 194 171 160 149 142 169 219 193 170 159 148 141 167 218 192 169 158 147 140 165 216 190 168 157 146 139 163 215 189 167 156 146 139 161 214 188 167 156 145 138 158 213 187 166 155 144 137 156 212 186 165 154 144 137 154 211 185 164 153 143 136 152 210 184 163 152 142 135 150 209 183 162 151 141 134 147 208 182 162 151 141 134 145 206 180 161 150 140 133 143 205 179 160 149 139 132 141 204 178 159 148 138 130 000 204 178 159 148 138 130 |

I'll upgrade to the new version...and I'll do the flight over again but without any mods just to be safe...in the meantime...does descent mode need to be activated for the VCP to deploy flaps...and if so...what triggers it...thanks for taking a look. |

Post subject: | Re: VCP does not deploy flaps 1 |
Descent This mode is set under various conditions:- 1 . After the ‘cruise briefing’ cabin announcement has been made and the aircraft descends below the DescentAltitude trigger 2. Subject to condition #1 and If aircraft drops below 2,000 (this was put in place to cater for emergency landings after takeoff 3. If Flightmode is set to Landed (i.e. Aircraft actually touched down) and now the airspeed is increasing and we’re climbing (+VSI)… to cater for touch ‘n’ goes) 4. If ‘cruise briefing’ has not been played but aircraft descends below the trigger altitude the announcement flag is bumped so the next one to play will be the ‘approach briefing’ Note: The DescentAlt trigger is set to the highest altitude reached (to a maximum of 1 2,000’) We then subtract a modifier which is 1 0% if the DescentAlt is set to 1 2,000 (the max) or 20% if it’s less than 1 2,000. So if cruising at 1 2,000 or above the trigger altitude is set to 1 0,800. If cruising at 6,000 the trigger altitude is set to 4,800 |
