| I have recently installed PFE. All goes well until I click on Select New Adventure when I get 'Run-time error 52 Bad file name or Number' . I have reinstalled with no change. Both PFE and FSX have their own folders on C Drive. Where am I going wrong. Help much appreciated. flenton |

| Hi, from the FAQ on top of this forum : Q: After installing PFE version 2.15 I get a 'Runtime Error 52 - Bad File Name or Number' whenever I try to select the 'New ADV' option. A: Please go to your main PFE folder and DELETE the PF_Emulator.INI[ file. If you can't see this file the chances are you have your Windows Explorer options set to 'Hide extensions for known types', in which case it will be displayed simply as PF_Emulator but the file 'Type' will be 'Configuration Settings'. That is the file to delete and NOT the PF_Emulator 'Application' type file If in doubt please rename the file rather than deleting it, or move it to another folder. After you start PFE, following the delete of the INI file, please select Options #1 from the main menu. From the next display please set the Debug Level (bottom left) to anything other than ZERO. We would suggest setting it to '5' unless advised otherwise by support. |
