Greetings Dave, Great to see that you keep updating the PFE software. I do have a couple of issues however.. 1. I use professional flight planner X (PFPX) to create flight plans and exporting them to FSX format. According to the PFE manual, a VOR within 10 miles of the departure airport and within 15 miles of the destination should be specified. So my flightplan from ENBR to ENZV looks like: DCT FLS DCT OKLAN DCT ZOL (created with PFPX and exported to FSX format). The distance from departure to destination is approx 87 NM. When I convert this flightplan to PF2000 format and compile an adventure of it the OKLAN waypoint doesn't show up. This is noticed when I try to adjust individual waypoint altitudes. The waypoint / altitude adjustment dialouge in PFE only shows my departure and destination airport (ENBR and ENZV). When I load this adventure and call clearance I do not get an altitude assigned by ATC...he only states "climb to...." and thereafter skips directly to the squawk code (just omitting the altitude). Strangely, I created to identical flight plans in PFPX like above. With one flight plan I had no issues at all (the OKLAN waypoint showed up as it should). The next time I created an identical flight plan and compiled an adventure out of it (using the procedure described in the PFE manual), I got this problem as described above.. 2. Is there any way to alter the frequencies used by the ATC in PFE? For instance on Flesland (ENBR) there is no clearance delivery frequency. I have updated the correct frequencies in Airport Design Editor, run the Makerwys.exe and rebuilt the PFE database. Still, the clearance frequency of 121.7 keeps showing up. It looks like this frequency is taken from the old PF2000 program.. Kind regards, Kyrre Andersen Norway |

Hi Kyrre, 1. PF2000 has a mind of it's own and will drop waypoints if considered too closes together. With regard to the missing clearance altitude please send me a debug log (from the PFE\Logs folder) next time that happens 2. PFE uses the frequencies in FS... if they are not in FS it will use the PF2K database which is obviously well out of date (as is FS of course, but there). If you'd like to send me the frequency file from your PFE\Data folder I'll take a look at what's there |
