I am trying to input a route EGCC to EGPF produced in Electronic Flight Bag which uses a SId and STAR.

Despite studying the manual and the Dave Leesley video, I am still struggling to understand how to enter the data.

The manual page 47 describes 3 alternatives. The video gives 2 methods, the 2nd method is for using charts and programmable FMC's.

Is there any other information available for newbies like me?

Why are you trying to input SIDs/STARs when you don't have to? PFE allows you to fly whatever procedures you want without inputting the data.

I'll rephrase my problem. Under what circumstances would I use the input SIDS/stars into pfe?

Compile your plan as normal,under Sids/Stars tab on options 1 page(off top of my head as i'm not at main rig with PFE on it) it will tell you where to enter Sid or Star and it will include it in your plan.
