| Hi Dave. Thanks. I have checked my previous post, ands yes I had my firewall and anti virus turned off during install. Yes I did empty all FDC Folders from previous install. Everything pertaining to FDC is now in the following - C:\program files (x86)\Aerosoft\FDC I'm still getting the message - FS must be running BEFORE you can detect your current position, but FS9 is running?? I have installed the two exe files - PFE_V312_System, Sysinfo_inst. I installed FDC and the above two exe files as administrator. I am using Win 7. Hope you can help. John |

| Uninstall and reinstall into say "C" drive,not program files directory. So you will need to remove all files and folders,run registry cleaner/checker and re-install without AV or Firewall running and update to latest version. |

| Hi Dave. Thanks for your efforts. I have done everything you have suggested, but I still get the message - FS must be running BEFORE you can detect your current position, but FS9 is running?? FDC is now installed in C:\Aerosoft\FDC folder. Is that correct or should it just be C:\FDC? I tried to download the update from the forum. First clicking on the - FDC Accumulative Update Installer - didn't do anything, so I moved down the list 3 places to - Having problems with FDC's Auto Updates? and clicked on Get it HERE. This gave me the fdc_accum314. Is this the right one? As you say it is v3.84. I can't find that one. I don't know what else to do to get FDC going. John |

| Hi, is this a network installation ? if so are you waiting long enough to let FDC connect to FS9 ? a restart of FDC sometimes helps the latest version is 3.14 where is FS9 installed, hope not in program files |

| Hi Patrick I have FDC installed in C:\ Aerosoft\FDC. Yes I think I am waiting long enough for FDC to connect to FS9. Not sure what you mean by network installation. John |

| C:/FDC usually suffices. Is fsuipc of the latest version? |
