Getting started.......first steps......only steps........

In brief once doing all the flight plan conversions etc and get to the "Select New Adv" the cupboard is bare with nothing showing to load.

I have read through the manual a number of occasions and followed the tutorial videos and unless a bad habit has crept in on my part I cannot seem to populate the ADV window.

The FP's are created as directed, then converted. Open FS2000 and compile, well that is when compile was still operational and now it is greyed out. Changed FL in both main page and settings, also changed Centre FL which defaults to another value normally FL 250.

After all this still no luck.

PFE is installed C:\PFE and not in programme files.

Checked the ADV in FS2000 and have series of files associated with each plan, .adv .gps .brf

In FSX itself checked in Add-ons button and there is no "Start PFE" either

Please help where am I going wrong, thanks

Hi andy,
check the FAQ's with regards to the compile button greyed out...

PFE is no longer in the addons or wherever it's supposed to be in FSX,it was removed.

Did you install it with all security turned off (AV and Firewall)...you do not have to be connected to the internet for installing PFE...

Thanks Dave much appreciated.

I was working off the wrong manual as well - the one that is available at sim market - which is not as extensive as the manual provided for here.
