Post subject: | 250 miles or so off the airway |
Whenever I fly in the southern hemisphere and am nearing my destination PFE advises me I'm 250 miles or so off the airway. Last night flight plans were Honolulu to Aukland and Aukland to Brisbane, both times I got the same message so I had to finish the flight without PFE. I used the default 747-400 and FSX flight planner and according to the GPS I was bang on the airway. Am I missing something? The other question I have is flight planners. Will a FP like FSBuild etc provide a means to skip like you can with the map in FSX?. Any help will be most appreciated. |

After converting the FS FP did you remember to 'convert' it for use in PFE to ensure it matches the one created by PF2000. This is very important as PF2000 may have dropped one or more waypoints from the original FP. If you then load the original FP you may be flying toward a waypoint which is not actually in your ATC fFP |

Thanks Dave, I'm a bit confused. Do you mean the part in the manual named ADJUSTING FLIGHT PLANS FOR THE GPS ? I've never used that part as it also reads "Please Note: This step is entirely optional". |

Thanks Dave, I've been creating the flight plan as you recommended for a few days now....works like a charm! Maybe to avoid confusion the "Please Note: This step is entirely optional" part should be removed. ![]() |
