Post subject:  departure clearence with crash Course to AITraffic

Hello,

my favorit add ons for the FS 2004 are PFE and FDC.

But sometimes I have this problem: I request the taxi clearance and PFE ATC advice me to taxi (for example EDDF) to rwy 25R. But for the ai traffic (MyTraffic) PFE ATC give the clearance for rwy 07L (frontal course). Same time, same weather (Active Sky offline weather).

What may be the reason?

Thanks
Sonja

At the time PFE calculates which runway to assign it first checks to see if any AI traffic is currently taking off or landing and will then use the same runway. If, however, there's no such traffic it will use the wind direction. In the scenario you mention did you check to see what the actual wind direction was. My guess is PFE was correct.

Thanks, Dave.

I think, in the future I will first start FS, then wait until AI Traffic is online (MyTraffic needs on my System a few seconds). After AI Traffic is running (departing), I will connect PFE. So it is possible for PFE to check the rwy in use.
