Everybody hello. I cannot understand English so well, I may use wrong English, but improve it here because I may want you to support it. I installed FDC2011 in FSX on Windows Vista and operated without a problem so far. I purchase a new PC (Windows7-64 bit) and begin to use the FSX on this PC and install add-on softwares again sequentially recently. I had begun to install FDC equally, but a problem happened. At first two error messages appeared at the time of installation, and installation was not completed. The first message is "Visual Basic 6.0 Run time files - Command line option syntax error, type command /?" The second message is "ERROR58" When the second message turned off user account and installed it again, FDC2011 came to start the error message without appearance. However, when I am going to connect FDC2011 on FSX after start, the following error message appears and cannot be connected. FDC 2011 starts normally and runs ok, the problem starts when I try to connect to FSX, then all I get is: Error: 429 - ActiveX component can't create object in 'SetupDirectSound' routine The program then shuts down. I read most of the forum comments here and on the web, but nothing works. I tried reinstalling FDC to no avail. Is what FDC cannot install definitely caused by an error of Visual Basic 6.0? What should I do to solve error 429? Please help me! ![]() |

Please download and install the cumulative updates package from this forum. When installing please ensure you stop all other programs, especially your anti virus and any other security type programs you might have. Also, do NOT install into the default C:\Program Files folder as this is a protected folder in Win 7 systems and it can prevent files from being written and/or updated. |

Hi, Thanks Dave. I installed a new updates package. FDC was able to be completely connected. ![]() However, a new problem happened. It has very very low volume of the captain and co-pilot voices. Of course the volume such as ATC sound default FSX or sound of AES does not have any problem by the normal output. By volume setting of FDC, voice sounds (Captain & Co-pi) are maximum one setting it to 10, other sound are 7 to 8, but are in state that it is clearly lower than a sound in the FSX. Where should I set again? Please help me. ![]() |

High, DAVE, I'm very sorry. I did not notice. The volume mixer of the PC automatically lowered the volume of FDC. The voices of captain & Co-pi became high when I did the volume adjustment of the mixer. Thank you. Koh ![]() |
