Hi Martin,
i have just checked everything FDC and FS2004 with Leveld 767 and all is fine..

How do you start up your aircraft from cold and dark setup?...this is what i do..

From O/H click on battery,then ask for ext power and air(level d sub-menu 1 and 2).

Then click on APU and set air pressure in engines and various things to be done, like window heat etc..

Then have FDC running, let it run through the checklists and all is ok...no repeated calls from engine starts..

Hi.. thanks for checking this. I am still getting "Start No1"..

I load the 767-300 profile into FDC, then I start the 767 Cold & dark.

1. Battery on
2. Set IRS to Nav
3. Switch APU to 'start' ... wait till it is ready ....
4. Activate Bus Ties (they then show 'auto')
5. Click on 'APU Gen' ... and immediately I get "Start No1"

I don't usually ask for Ext power as the APu is online within a minute..

The difference is that you don't start FDC until the APU is running. That is a little awkward in my setup as I run on two screens: if I click on the FDC window (on my 2nd. monitor) with my FS9 in full screen on the first monitor, the latter minimizes to the taskbar.

Will experiment further..

M.

After starting the APU and waiting for a minute or so, there is always a high-pitched warbling sound (only ever have it on the Level-D 767) which last 5-10 seconds. The "Start No. 1" call comes as soon as that stops....

When I disconnect FDC after that, the programme exits immediately. Maybe my 767 profile, or other file, has an error??

Hi Martin,
i can confirm the profile or FDC doesn't have a problem, well at my end anyway ;)

I don't get any warbling sound or the sound you describe when APU is switched on..

I take it you haven't modified any calls in the profile,or made any changes to calls etc..

What do you mean Dave by "haven't modified any calls in the profile, or made any changes to calls" No, I don't think so, but maybe if you could explain further...

I have had that warbling sound as the APU starts up from the day I installed this a/c - I am confused that you don't get it, I assumed it was part of the package. I looked for the wav file but with no luck - maybe it's part of a dat file. I'll look again,

M.

Possible that something else on your system could be interferring with FDC or a conflicting file??

If you want any files to try with regards to FDC or Leveld 767,let me know

Hi Dave.. I thought I had 'fixed' this, by choosing to skip Engine Startup callouts, but I just started up a flight with the Level-D 767 and as soon as the APU starts, I get "Start Engine One" .... "Engine One stable" ... "Start Engine Two" ... "Engine Two Stable" ....

I've checked my pro files and they show the line:

SkipEngineStartup=1

No idea now about this. Maybe I could take up your offer and test the performance and profile files that you use? Perhaps you could simply post the contents here as texts and I can copy them and set them back to .pro and .uco files? Or another way if you prefer..

Many thanks,

Martin
