Hi Dave.
I was just thinking. If I was to rename the user announcement that I am having trouble getting played during descent to "fd00. which is supposed to be for the turbulence message, could I activate it with the keystroke Ctrl W? That way whenever I start my descent I could just activate it manually. This is"User07"at the moment,so would I have to renumber the files below it so that "User08" would be renamed"User07"?
What do you think?
All the best

Yes you can rename it to use with a hotkey.... no need to rename the user files if 07 isn't being played as you want the others (I assume) to play as they are now

Hi Dave.
I did try this but I can not get it to play using the hot key Ctrl W.
I placed the file( fd00.) in with the rest of the files in the FDC wav folder. Is that correct?

Off the top of my head yes, that is correct. Please check the user guide though

Hi Dave.
Something new is happening. A couple of the user announcements have stopped working even though they are timed. I checked my settings in the user files and everything is set correct. I checked in the FDC ini folder and under the user exits
settings they are all set to 0. In the past when I have checked this file it usually displays the same settings that are set in the program.
Only two of them do not work,so I am a little confused that if they are all displaying 0 in the ini file, I am amazed any of them work.
What do you think is going on here?
Thanks.
Dennis

Perhaps you've been swapping profiles... perhaps you were looking in the DEF file rather than the INI file.

Dave.
The User Exits are all at 0 no mater what profile I select.
When I was on my Vista drive I recorded some new announcements and they worked very well, so I copied them and brought them over to the 7 drive and installed them, and they worked fine but I was thinking,,could that have messed something up?
I am looking in the"FDC ini file for sure, and they are all at 0.
What do you suggest I do?

Dave.
You are right.I am looking in the def file, sorry.
It seems everything is working fine again, if I take out the new recordings I exported from Vista. With them in the two user files before them will not play.
I will record new ones on the 7 drive and see if that works.
Thanks for your help.
All the best.
Dennis
