Turns out Trend Micro was the culprit. Made the website a trusted one and all of a sudden the update worked! I have no idea why this occurred after the update.

It's because the web server Dave is using has changed location and IP address, it appears your AV software is doing its job, although its a shame it didn't notify you of this fact though.
