I see that you are using Game Commander 2 which is no longer available. Are you running PFE from a second computer with FSUIPC? I am using Voice Buddy and I have a registered FSUIPC. I have read that people have had a hard time configuring voice recognition to work when running PFE from a second computer. I read the "how to" that is pinned, but did not understand how to do it. I am running the PFE Display Utility on the second computer with FSUIPC. I am using a high end headset and mic. All suggestions are welcome. I do have reasonable success with Voice Buddy, but I am always looking for improvement. I will see if I can figure out a way to have FSUIPC and Voice Buddy work together on PTT. Thanks, Lynn |

Hi Lynn, Yes I am running PFE on a client computer and FDC on another client. I am not sure why voice recognition (VR) should be a problem with PFE on a client, afterall the VR is simply causing a key stroke to take place, so no different to pressing the key on the server computer and having PFE react on the client. (BTW, I am definately not a computer whizz). I too have voice buddy but have not taken the time to configure it. I do have some wav files set up in GC2 to activate when needed, I don't believe I can do that in Voice Buddy. Also, I had a problem with a microphone that was USB, which Voice Buddy did not work with. A patch has been issued to fix this, but I have not got around to testing it. I do have GC3 but simply cannot get it to run, I don't know why, whereas GC2 runs perfectly (most of the time). I am happy to try and help as much as possible, if you could let me know what problems you are having I'll do my best to help. I know one can have Voice Buddy working via PTT, as I did have it set up for a while. I'll have to remind myself how I did it though. Let me know if that would help. Best Dave |

Thanks, You have inspired me to try some more with using the full PFE on a client with Voice Buddy. I will not have any time this week, but I will the week after. Thanks for the invitation if I run into trouble to help figure it out. Why are you using 2 clients? Have you found that it runs faster that way? Lynn |

Hi Lynn, How nice to hear I've inspired you ![]() Another thing one can do is use the hotkey within PFE to pause PFE when the key is depressed. I have the same hot key allocated as the PTT hotkey. This means PFE pauses to allow the request to be made. Some may not like this feature, but at a busy airport it is a useful feature. The pause period can be set as required. The reason I have two clients is mainly for sound but also for taking pressure of the server machine and allowing me to use programmes without interupting FS. Server Machine: FS9, Track Ir & GC2/VB, Wide Server Client1: AI Sep, AI smooth, TSR Autobrake, FDC, Wide Client. Also TOPCAT, B738 Fuel Calculator, ATR Take Off & Landing Calculator. Client2: PFE, PFE Remote Text, FS Flight Keeper, ASE, FS Realtime, Wide Client. I have a programme called Input Director running on all three machines that allows me to use one mouse and keyboard for all machines. So, I have FDC sound coming from the speakers on Client1, but also I can use TOPCAT/fuel calculator etc., whilst FS boots up or if I need to whilst the sim is running. Client2 sound gives me ATC from another speaker. I can also fiddle with ASE if required without interfering with the sim. The engine and environment noise comes from the server machine. I am pretty sure Windows 7 can handle sound in a much better way than XP, but I think I will stick with my setup. I will likely change to FSX at some stage but can see no need at present. Good luck with your tweaking! Best Dave |
