Hey, did both of those things - and we're getting there! ![]() However, Remote Text still shows 'Waiting for Connection' throughout. Also the PF3 display (which I rely on now to show how PF3 expects me to tune the radio) still has no data (all COM frequencies show zero). Hope we'll be able to fix those too? Lots of people must have them both up and running OK in Windows 10 (yourself included I imagine). If you need any more files/logs, please advise. Thank you. |

(By the way, did the logs show that all required runtimes/MS .NET packages were present OK?) |

Re PF3 Display, is there a folder in your main xplane directory of the same name? If pf3 can't create that due to permissions that would cause an issue Sent from my SM-A705FN using Tapatalk |

Doesn't actually show them but you could run pf3 validate which detects 99.9% of pf3 requirements. Certain things though can't be accurately checked prior to runtime. Sent from my SM-A705FN using Tapatalk |

Yes, there is a pf3_display folder in the main XP folder - it has one (.dat) file in it. Validate shows no errors or missing files. |

OK, I have Remote Text working! I went to a backup of the PF3 folder from Windows 7 and looked at the ini file for Remote Text. The old one and the one created by the last PF3 setup have completely different IP addresses. I had already checked the IP address - one of the first things I did, but the ini file does show the correct IP address in so far as all my 'what is my IP address' internet searches go.. they all show the same as in the ini file, so I assumed all was OK. Just now though I went into XP10 ethernet settings, and the IPv4 address is actually shown as the old one (the one I always had in Windows 7). Now I have changed it back to the old one in the ini file, Remote Text lights up as normal! I still get 'zero' for all my COM frequencies in PF3 Display though (and none other of the 'usual' information there either). Maybe the path is not set correctly? Is there a way of checking the path it is using to locate the data? Doesn't it simply use the apt.dat file in Custom Scenery though, 'on the fly'? Or is the all the data showing in PF3 display set at the time of a database update? Be good to get PF3display working.. as far as I know the last thing in XP/Win10 that isn't. (I shouldn't rejoice too soon: computers have a way of biting back, just when you think you've tamed them). Thanks Martin |

No, it isn't. The little boxes remain red. Remote Text still working fine today though. |
