Hi Skoop,

Try this.

Installing msinet.ocx is not the end of the process.

You must register it using "Regsvr32"

Regsvr32 [/u] [/s] <OCX file name or route> (also valid for dll files)

In your case:

Click on start and in the start search bar type cmd, right click on the command prompt icon in the programs area and then click on run as administrator.

At the command prompt type regserv32 msinet.ocx and then press enter.

Please, see: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/146219

Good luck. ;)

So I finally got past the runtime error and got PF3 to boot up properly.

I had to do the command prompt as admin and put :

Regsvr32 “C:\Windows\System32\MSINET.OCX”

including the quotations and miraculously it worked.

Nice to finally move on and dig into the program looks pretty nice so far.

I primarily got this for Xplane MCE integration .

Oh, thank goodness you found the solution to your problem.

Maybe I'm not used to the ways used in this place, but I usually say "thank you" when someone gives me the solution.

By the way, the command only works with no quotation marks. ;)

Just use " instead of “ and ”, and it will work. Yes, they look very similar :)

Ohhh, I was struggling with the error message for an hour or two before I found this thread.

Using the command Regsvr32 [/u] [/s] <OCX file name or route> (also valid for dll files) fixed the problem. My only add-on here is that my file was in c:\windows\syswow64 and not in system32 :!: . Thank you for the help.
