Wow, that is crazy. Dave, why does PF3 switch back and forth here? Maybe selecting a higher altitude for HNS (above 8000) helps? PF3 should give you a step descent at a good time. |

Thanks, Dave. Here are the logs of a similar flight where the issue did not occur. Hope it helps. One difference I noticed is that the destination had a tower frequency this time. No idea if that makes a difference. BTW the handoff from Approach to Tower ("report airport in sight") came quite late at about 5 nm from the airport. Is that still in the standard range? Any news on this from your side? Here is my workaround I'm using now: I set VCP mode 0, confirm the handoff from approach back to center but stay on approach frequency. Approach will then at the given time give me the "The airport is ... Report airport in sight" message. And all is fine. Works only with VCP mode 0 of course. |

It will have to be reworked but that won't be till the next release and as yet I have no time frame for that |
