Reinstalling over the top did not help so I uninstalled/installed and activated again. This is still happening and is very frustrating. Any help would be appreciated on what to try next.

Thanks,
Mike Cameron

Hi Mike,

Let's step back a bit here.

So everything was working fine and then this just started happening?
Had you just installed/iuninstalled anything?
Made any system changes you can remember?
When you say it becomes unresponsive at what stage does this occur and what happens (or doesn't happen)?

Hello Dave,

1. The last software I installed for P3D was the Orbx NA Landclass but PF3 was working great after that was installed and this did not start until after I had been using for a couple of weeks. I am using P3D 3.35 but again working great with that software up until last week.

2. What I do not have control over is the Windows 10 Updates. Is it possible that a Win10 update could affect this procedure.

3. Everything seems to work with the program until I try processing a flight plan and that is where PF3 becomes unresponsive although Windows does not say this. I left the processing screen on for a good 15-20 minutes yesterday to no avail, it just keeps saying that it is processing the flight plan. If I place the mouse over this window, the windows working icon is displayed, looks like a circle or an arrow moving in a circle. I double click per the the message at the bottom of this window to open the program interface but I cannot click on any of the tabs or close the program without using the task manager to close the program.

I hope this information helps.

Thanks,
Mike Cameron

Could there be a window behind this processing window, e.g. displaying an error message?

Unfotunately, there is not. Only the processing window and program interface and you have to double click at the bottom of the processing window open the program interface.

Thanks,
Mike

Have you checked your AV quarantine folder ?

Nothing in my quarantine folder and I also added the PF3 folder, the FP3 program file and the FP process file to the exceptions list but this is still happening.

Thanks,

I was wondering if there are any new suggestions on what to try. I created an FSX flight plan just to see if it was a P3D issue but I still have this problem with an FSX flight plan. I cannot believe I am the only person having this problem.

Thanks,

Mike Cameron

Can you try if the Demo behaves the same?

Uninstalled PF3 Full and installed demo but program still becomes unresponsive during flight plan processing. What is now different is that the flight plan processing app is now displaying on my task manager and I have to manually end that task as well as the main program.

Thanks for the help,

Mike
