I used to get this with PFE, but doesn't seem to be a problem with PFE3 mostly because i use ACARS instead of com radio. Tell you what i did discover though..the static sound plays throughout the ATIS loop, and than before starting it's next loop, it becomes silent for a moment. If you wait until the end of the loop and for the static to stop, then leave the frequency at that moment, there is no stuck static sound. |

Concerning the ATIS I noticed that sometimes I only hear the static sound, but no transmission. for example, I added an ATIS frequency to Bend airport (S07) manually, but during flight I only hear static noise when I tune in before arrival at the airport. Anything I am doing wrong here...? |

The occasional stuck static when tuning to ATIS is a known problem. Hopefully it will have been addressed in the next update. |

Just FYI: It happened on several more occasions - each time confirming my above suspicion. |

As said it is a know glitch. One thing you can try is if it happens totally at random or when you are tuning to a specific frequency. I have had it happen to me too but only once. |
