I used to get this with PFE, but doesn't seem to be a problem with PFE3 mostly because i use ACARS instead of com radio. Tell you what i did discover though..the static sound plays throughout the ATIS loop, and than before starting it's next loop, it becomes silent for a moment. If you wait until the end of the loop and for the static to stop, then leave the frequency at that moment, there is no stuck static sound.

Concerning the ATIS I noticed that sometimes I only hear the static sound, but no transmission. for example, I added an ATIS frequency to Bend airport (S07) manually, but during flight I only hear static noise when I tune in before arrival at the airport. Anything I am doing wrong here...?

That also happened to me from time to time.

The occasional stuck static when tuning to ATIS is a known problem. Hopefully it will have been addressed in the next update.

Here is an interesting observation I made. I didn't make enough tests to be sure but maybe someone else can test it too.

It seems that the problem with the stuck radio noise occurs when the frequency is changed to ATIS while there is a transmission playing on the previous frequency.
Just to confirm: The "getting stuck" happens for you when switching from ATIS to something else, when the earlier switch to ATIS was made during a transmission?
Correct.
Just FYI: It happened on several more occasions - each time confirming my above suspicion.

As said it is a know glitch. One thing you can try is if it happens totally at random or when you are tuning to a specific frequency. I have had it happen to me too but only once.
