Try using the FREE registry repair tool for FSX available from http://www.flight1.com in FREE library section.
This may correct any issues,not saying it will fix your problem but worth a try.

Hello again,
Thanks for getting back to me. I appreciate what you are saying regarding FSUIPC, but my point was that when I installed the later version , it made no difference to the PFE error, it was just the same. Sorry for any confusion.
The only thing that I haven’t tried is to completely uninstall it & re-install it from my original disc(without the upgrade). If I do this will I lose the Voice add-on?

As I have previously mentioned PFE worked fine for a long time on all my original settings etc, It was only when I upgraded it, that this problem occurred.
Thanks for bearing with my problem, hope you help further, it’s appreciated.
