Stating the obvious, make sure you are tuned to the correct frequency.

He means FS should be the active window, if you are running in windowed mode. Any luck with rebuilding the database?

Im running on eyefinity using 3 32" monitors fullscreen. I have to ALT+ENT to come out the game then press the Connect to FS button, then ALT+ENT to go back into the game. dont know if that makes a difference?

also i re-built the database and i believe all went well there, no errors whilst doing that, but still not able to activate the program whilst ingame?

now i tried a different flight and am getting a "File selected is NOT a ProFlight 2000 ADV file" error, but im doing everything right the way the tutorial says too.

focus means that FS is the active window : so after pushing the "connect to FS" button in PFE, click on the flightsimulator window to make sure FS has the focus and push the "0" button (NOT on the numlock part of your keyboard).

If that does not work you have a problem with your installation of PFE and or FS.
Where is PFE and flightsimulator installed ( hope it is not in the program folder, because that is protected by windows7/vista)

OMG, i dont know what i did or you did or god himself did but it now works yay.

few questions though:

1. all the messages are onsceen using the FUSIUP (something like that lol), window, and only displays one message, is there a way of keeping it onscreen and then the next message appears below or above like the original ATC?

2. I use a sound byte that was created by my VA for use in the original ATC can that be used in PFE?

and is it worth getting the voice expansion pack? what does it do?

Yes, the FSUIPC window displays one message at a time. From your earlier posts, it sounds like you are using a single monitor, so you can try the following:

In the Aerosoft\PFE folder is the PF_Emulator.ini file, which can be edited to tweak many settings and options (see the manual for more info). If you ADD the line

ShowAtcLog=1

to the [TWEAKS] section of that file and then save the file, another window will automatically open when you connect PFE to FS. This window will contain the most recent ATC commands. You will need to toggle to see the window during flight but it provides an easy way to check the previous commands. (You may need to resize the window when it opens.)

As for the expansion pack, it is a MUST! It provides many new voices/accents and expanded phraseology. Get it, by all means.
