Sam can you open the flight in PFE (Select New ADV), click the box to "adjust waypoint altitudes" and then post a screenshot on here. Or post the waypoints and their altitudes starting with the last waypoint at cruise FL. |

Yes , that looks fine and should work ok. A couple of points worth noting however..... You are telling PFE to keep you at cruise ALT until after MATUG. That is only 89 NM from the airport, so you are going to be a bit tight on getting down and slowing down. EDDF has 4000 feet as the usual min altitude for glideslope cature so yu might want to change the waypoint RUDUS and the FAF ALT to 4000 Peter |

i did the flight all seemed good. however i dont think 4000 was the right altitude for the ILS as i was aligned horizontally but vertically the needle didnt start moving and i flew straight over the top of the runway so i think i should have been lower sam |

If you were too high, the GS needle/indicator would have been moving a long time before you reached the runway ! If it didn't react at all perhaps you had the wrong frequency. What was the runway? I am still using an older version of EDDF, which does not have the new runway, so my charts are out of date, but they all show 4000 feet. I believe MSA is 3200 at EDDF, so 4000 looks right to me. http://www.vacc-sag.org/airport/EDDF Peter |

It was runway 7L I believe and I have the mega airport Frankfurt scenery so the frequency will be different to yours but I'm pretty sure it was right as I was aligned with the right runway horizontally so it must've been. It may be that I was just not paying attention to the needle and never saw it move at all! Anyway, I'm going to attempt another flight somewhere else and ill let u know how I get on again... Thanks Sam |

If you have scenery that contains the new runway 07L, have a look at the charts I linked to. RWY07L has two ILS approaches "Y" and "Z". They both use different ILS frequencies. The degree of glideslope is different between the two. it would be worth checking if the scenery has both ILS installations. I think this has something to do with you not getting glideslope info. |
