Sometimes I would like to keep my cruising speed CONSTANT without being changed or nagged about it. I checked PF2000.cfg in F:\PFE\FS2000\PF2000, I found these lines:

SpeedTolerance=50
SpeedStart=170
SpeedSetting=0
CruiseSpeedIAS=466
CruiseSpeedMACH=0.74
CruiseSpeedTAS=420

Which one(s) to change? If I am on the right track!!

I dont think you are on the right track at all.

There is an option in the "select spec" section of PF2000 where you can select the aircraft type and cruise speed. However I dont think think PFE atc will ever nag you about your cruise speed. In the years I have used PFE I have never seen it happen. What exactly is the problem you are having?

I dont think you are on the right track at all.

I agree. It's never happened to me. However, it does nag you if you exceed the 250kts limit below 10,000ft (assuming you haven't been given "no speed restriction"). It will also nag you it it does give an instruction "reduce speed to ...." and you don't. Once in cruise you can fly as fast or as slow as you wish.

I've never been nagged at to alter cruising speed during my time with PFE,only when below 10K feet or if the transition altitude is different and that will be to keep it at 250kts.
Once at cruise altitude, you can go as fast or slow as you like.

I checked my flight several times. I have the cruising speed set at 520 - announcement comes saying "reduce speed to 250" - and then proceeds to do just that - my speed IS REDUCED from 520 to 250. I changed myself back to 520 - after a little while I get the same announcement followed by speed reduction.

When I have time, I'll check the "select spec"

1. Cruise speed set to 520 !, that is far too fast for most commercial jets. What aircraft are you flying and at what altitude? 520 knots is a good ground speed, but you need to be flying to an Indicated Air Speed (IAS), and above about 28,000 feet a Mach number.

2. If you are told to reduce speed to 250 KIAS, it is because you are below 10,000 feet. You should obey ATC instructions to reduce speed below that altitude. You do not begin to fly at "cruise speed" until you are.....in the cruise.

3. If your aircraft reduces speed to 250 KIAS it is because you have selected co-pilot mode 3....the co-pilot is handling all comms and is flying the aircraft.

Also make sure your aircraft is displaying IAS (Indicated Airspeed)

Sorry guys, I have an explanation or two. I must confess that what I do sometimes is pickup a scenery and try to follow it at low altitude. The latest one was following the Nile river all the way from Northern Egypt to LAKE NUBIA. I speed up over certain areas and slow down over other areas.
