Problem: 3.14 showing up as 3.13.

My FDC is installed on drive C: I am using the latest 3.14 version FDC Accumulative Update Installer from your forum, but after installing it on drive C:, or even into FDC on Drive C:, it still only verity's that it is only version 3.13. When the program loads on the monitor it still says version 3.79. I have removed FDC 5 times from my computer and the 3.14 Update and tried re-installation, but no luck so far. Any help would be appreciated.

As I previously explained......... I ALREADY DID THAT. I am not stupid. I ran a search on drive C: looking for ALL files relating to FDC and got rid of them, even pre-fetch files.

I then reloaded FDC into drive C:\FDC. NO PROBLEM.

The only problem is when I want to convert FDC from version 3.79 to version 3.14.

I will run the FDC Accumulative Update Installer 3.14 fine. The only problem is.... when I check the version installed later, it shows ONLY 3.13 version installed, not 3.14.

When I also run FDC, AFTER ,FSX is running, the version shows 3.79, no change.

There is a HUGE CONFLICT OCCURING SOMEPLACE.


NOTE: I did run 3.14 previously one time and it did work correctly when I placed FDC under PROGRAM FILES section. You told me to move FDC out from under PROGRAM FILES and then this is when I started to have this problem.
Should I try putting FDC back under PROGRAM FILES for a test and then running the 3.14 Update Installer again?

First, yes I am sure.

Second. I also went back over my previous deleting pre-fetch files as you asked me to delete all old FDC files from my computer and start all over again and I found that I had missed 2 buried FDC files. I deleted those files and tried once more to do the whole procedure all over again as you suggested.

It worked this time and everything now works and my FDC is now reporting it is working correctly under version 3.14 now.

The problem I experienced happens under PRE-FETCH, under WINDOWS. Makes sure that ALL files under FDC found under PRE-FETCH, are deleted with only the exception of txt files. TXT files can remain.

This problem is solved.
