One little 'niggle' - maybe someone can say if it can be prevented somehow. When ATC talks to other, (AI) aircraft, the pilot voice used to reply is sometimes the same one that PFE uses for my own aircraft - which can be a bit confusing. Of course, I choose which voice to use as a pilot's voice in PFE - and also in FDC for checklists - shame they can't be the same!! :-) - but any way to stop PFE using the same voice for AI pilots? Perhaps, if I could identify which voice I am using I could exclude it for AI use (or is it the case that if you exclude a voice from the voice sets, it is not used at all?). Even if possible, that would take a tedious amount of identifying and setting up before a flight though, no?

Thanks again. Yes, I have seen (though not used, as yet) that feature, but as I thought, the explanation says that it will entirely remove the chosen voice from use in PFE, across the board; I suppose the issue of pilots' voices being duplicated (AI and user a/c at the same time) would just reoccur using a different voice set. The 'problem' (there are far bigger ones in the world, I know!!) is compounded by the fact that the volume of the AI pilot's voice is always as high as the user a/c voice, a bit confusing if you haven't heard what was said ("was that an ATC message for me?").

Is there an option I have missed that will either reduce the volume of or if necessary turn off interaction between ATC and other (AI) planes? The volume options in Options #1 don't seem to cover this specifically.

"I choose which voice to use as a pilot's voice in PFE - and also in FDC for checklists - shame they can't be the same"

This actually is possible.

Optional NEW voice set to compliment FDC/PFE interaction

FDC/PFE interaction is only possible if using FDC version 3.9+ together with PFE version 2.8+. This new voice set matches one of the PFE voice sets. Please see the FDC 3.9 readme for full details on FDC/PFE interaction.

I already have the FDC voice set 16 (I am half Yorkshire myself - my mother's from Sheffield - and although I was born 'down south', so don't have that accent, I have always loved it!!) so will experiment a bit. I had noticed the same voice in PFE, but hadn't put two and two together.

Thanks for the information. Good for flights to/from Leeds/Bradford anyway! (Did you ever see the Hale & Pace 'Yorkshire Airlines' sketch Dave?)...
