As I indicated above, CP Mode 2 works very well and I would suggest you give it a try. The handoff from approach to tower takes place with no difficulty and no need to manually tune the comms.
Gentlemen i can tell you good news. CP mode 2 indeed solves the problem. I just do not understand why it does not work in CP mode 1 (the mode is available). I like to have more control. Anyways, this is a workaround and im happy that it worked.
