launch problem

Post subject: launch problem

i installed pfe fine. however when i launch it i get an error saying that MSWINSCK.OCX is missing, (see screenshot)
can anyone help?

Try downloading/installing the cumulative updates package from this forum. When doing so please ensure you stop all other programs, especially your anti virus and any other security type programs you might have. Also, if running Windows Vista, 7 or 8 DO NOT install into the default 'c:\program files' fiolder

when i try to install the accumulative update i keep getting a message saying install failed

Double check you are installing it from the correct folder... it works... it has been available for years!

nope still failing and its in the right folder

im going to restart pc and try diasbling anti virus and see if that works

it worked! it now installed the updates and pfe is working correctly

Having had FDC for a couple of years or longer I finally bought PFE...

It seems from this thread that the accumulative update is still needed after installation from the CD-ROM? Is that the next step? Then the voice expansion pack (that I bought from aerosoft) and finally the 700MBs extra downloaded from here?
