Within FS Build and PFE I have allocated Gate 21 at Stansted Airport(UK 2000 scenery) as the allocated gate for this airport.

However, when I have gone through the flight plan process and PFA etc and then open FSX I find the aircraft parked at an angle beside one of the runways.

Could anyone through any possible light on the causes for this anamoly?

Many thanks in anticipation

With the caveat that I use FS9, it is my understanding that setting a dedicated gate will result in you being directed to that gate upon LANDING.

To start at the specified gate you need to load your a/c there from the sim itself.

Hi Peter,

Many thanks for your reply.

I was under the impression that the gate was allocated for starting and finishing the flight but maybe I am wrong. The strange thing is that 100% of the time the aircraft is either at the end of the runway or at the gate but at Stansted the aircraft is parked sideways half way down the runway.

I am wondering therefore what could cause this problem.

Peter is correct. PFE does not setup a flight situation to position your aircraft, you need to do that in fs.

Also please see the user guide section about allocated parking
