After quite some time I think I have mastered the workings of PFE and FDC but do have one problem.
I am using FS9, Windows 7, PFE v2.14 and FDC v3.14.
I use FS Build to compile a flight plan and export it to FS9 using FS2004/FSX. I then open PFE and convert the flightplan and compile it in PF2000. I again open PFE and Select New Adv. I then open FS9, select my aircraft, open the flightplanner and load the flightplan I have just created. Finally i select Fly Now and connect PFE and FDC
Although I am not sure if this is the correct procedure everything seems to work ok apart from the fact that I am unable to co-ordinate ATC and GPS. I am not sure if this is possible but if so could someone please explain how I obtain this.
Any help would be much appreciated

regards

Brian

Hi Brian,

Have you checked the section 'Flight Plan Converter Options' in the user guide. There you will see details describing how to 'adjust' your FS flight plan for PF and create a GPS specific file to ensure everything is in sync for your flight.

Hope that helps

Hello Dave

Thanks for the advice but I think it must be due to old age but I just cannot get PFE and GPS to co-ordinate so that they follow the same plan. Also when landing I am not getting ad instructions to leave runway or taxi to a gate.
Any help would be much appreciated

regards

Brian

I create a flight plan EGJB to EGLL in FS navigator, forward it to FS2004.I then convert the plan in PFE and compile it with PF2000, then I load it into PFE
I then select the flightplan in FS2004 and load it, connect PFE to FS2004 and then that is when I find the GPS and PFE do not coincide with each other.
On arrival at EGLL I get no instructions on landing and no taxi to gate instructions
Hope this makes sense

regards

Brian

Ahhhh!!!....someone else had trouble with FS Navigator for flightplanning, try using default planner in FS,or obtaining FS Build or FSC,all should be ok using anything but FS Navigator..

Hello Dave

Just as a matter of interest I thought that I would let you know that I am now creating flight plans in FS Navigator and when arriving at the destination airport I get instructions to leave the runway and also taxi instructions to the gate with TGSl

regards

Brian
