Perhaps you could be a little more specific. Just saying ' nothing happens' is about as useful a an aircraft without wings!

What version of PFE are you using?

What exactly are you doing?

Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S

Thanks so much for your response. I totally like the humor and apologize for not including the details.

The version is v.2.14. I start FSX and create a flight plan within FSX (short hop from KGEG to KPDX) using PDMG's latest aircraft 737NGX. Then I start PFE and following the instructions posed in your Youtube video which was very helpful. I use the Converter to convert the FSX plan for PFE which successfully converts it. Then I press the "start PF2000" button. I import the PF2000 flight plan into PFE (compile) which successfully creates the PFE flight plan and it gives me a successful message, audio as well. It tells me to contact clearance on 127.55. Then I start PFE and click 'select NEW Adv' and then Load. After this, I click 'Connect to FS'.

From this point, I assume I just click 'fly now' in the FSX since the flight plan is already prepared? Once I do this, do I wait for a window in FSX to tell me that PFE is functioning? This is where nothing seems to happen.. I don't see any new windows or messages indicating that PFE is running. I go to the pedestal radio stack and set the frequencies to 127.55 but no audio...

After setting COM1 you need to press the ZERO key to initiate contact with ATC

That worked. I had to change the hotkeys.

Another note, how do I turn off FSX's default ATC? I've noticed that I still hear it in addition to the PFE's ATC.

You will need to go into your sound settings in FSX (menu bar-General tab) and turn it down to zero(not off)
