Can anyone think why the flightdeck calls V1 and V2 have stopped? I am sure I used to get them. I have waited some weeks before posting here to make sure it's not a temporary glitch, but no matter what a/c I fly in, I get the speed calls, "80 knots" .. "100 knots", then "Rotate" - no V1/V2 calls before and after rotation.

This isn't a user definable parameter, is it, so I am at a loss as to how to correct it. All flightdeck call option boxes are ticked in FDC options....

Thanks,

Martin

Have you changed the speed settings for the calls and have them too close together. There are many options you can turn on or off for the vcp so make sure they are all on

No, I don't think so: in the PMDG 737-700 for instance, there is on average a 10 KIAS difference between V1 and VR.

I can't see anything in the VCP-X settings that could account for this either - there is nothing related to speed callouts in the options.

In my FDC/Data folder for the same PMDG 737-700 (as an example), I have the following files. Are any missing?

PMDG Boeing 737-700 (PAX).pro
PMDG Boeing 737-700 (PAX)_FDC_Controller.dat
PMDG Boeing 737-700.uco

Thanks!

Martin

Still no V1 in any a/c! This is a sample of the take-off performance data (for an Airbus A319), from the .uco file:

140 135 144 152 200 190 180 170 160 150 015
125 130 139 147 190 180 170 160 150 140 015
110 120 128 135 180 170 160 150 140 132 015
000 115 126 133 170 160 150 142 136 130 015

... should be enough time differentiation between V1, VR and V2 there, no (in bold)? No idea where to proceed now - the sound files themselves are in the wav folder and play OK..

Will do that after my next flight - thanks. Flew earlier today in a PMDG 737 and saw the speed tape reach V1 - no callout. Rotate was about 5 seconds later. Got the 'Rotate' call, and V2. But V1 absent in all a/c.

Will email log tomorrow or ASAP. Thanks again Dave.
