Hi, I have been trying PFE for the past couple of days since installing it into Win7 64 bit in the C:\PFE folder. I have the vers 2.14. I can create an adventure ok when I start up PFE it confirms in FSX's cockpit view that it is connected and the adventure has loaded ect. I set my radio to 121.70 and press 0 for the initial clearance but I hear no sound except for that of a microphone being keyed ie a crackle. My squawk code changes and the radio resets to 121.92 for ground coms. But I have no sound or no atc or pilot voice, even though I have the pilot set to British 4 and the guidance to British 2 nothing. If I set the option for text the messages display in red at the top right of the screen instructing me on altitude, headings ect and I have actually completed a flight in the PMDG NGX using this method. I have tried the default 737 and the PMDG MD11 but with the same result. I have also tried changing airlines and callsigns. The ATC is transmitting but I can't hear it. I did install it with the security and firewall turned off.
Any advise would be welcome.

Hi Phil,

Install the cumulative updates and then if you still have problems try the link I sent to Marc in this thread.

Hi Dave, Thanks for your reply, in your post you mention instructions in another thread but you haven't posted the link to it. In the meanwhile I wil re install using the acculative updates I have downloaded from the forum.

Thanks guys that seems to have done thr trick, I'm guessing I had some soundfiles missing.
