Hi guys,

I have been at this half the evening. I have just reinstalled FDC to a client PC. From my original disk circa 2004. Its installed to a Win xp sp 3 PC. Wide client is installed and is working for all my other programs(Project Magenta)etc.

FS is on a WIN7 running as admin etc. Now FSUIPC is 3.99 (latest) and wide server is 6.78 (Most up to date Wide server) Wide client is 3.86 (most up to date client)

Now if I run FDC as it is out of the box, it connects and works perfectly. When I run the latest cumulative installer the program starts no problem, but when I hit connect it dies. I have uninstalled, reinstalled and the installation goes perfectly. At a loss as to the nature of the problem and would appreciate any pointers folk might have on this.

Just an update. I had FS started and aircraft sitting on the ramp, engines running etc. I started wideclient. waited for a few seconds then started FDC. The splashscreen comes up, the user interface appears for a second and then exits. I closed wideclient. Started FDC and it opens to the user interface as normal. I started wideclient and all is working. The moment I hit connect it dies. I noticed I had the parking brake OFF. as I hit connect on FDC and as it exits, the parking brake comes on.

Latest log, I changed the . to a , as per one of the posts i the stickies. Made no difference.

Any Ideas folks or suggestions on things I may be doing wrong?

Not at home Dave, Do you mean on the client that runs FDC? I did make a change to the ini as per a post on the foru, Changed a . to a ,

I will check tomorrow when home and post back.

Hi Dave, sorry only getting back to try to solve this now. I have English (Ireland) as my regional settings.
