Hi i am an italian user...and my name is Luca..i am sorry for my English:) i hope you undestand me.. .i love PFE and this forum, and i have a big problem using PFE...

I use FSX with SP1 installed( i have a pentium IV, 3.2 GHZ, so for this reason i don't install SP2...)and PFE on my Windows XP System and PFE is upgraded to the last version like FSUIPC, but when i try to fly with PFE, making the plan as explained in the tutorial and charge it with default boeing 737-800 PFE in FSX, it will appear the window to connect to FSUIPC, the gauge of TGS in my aircraft panel(until after initialize it pass in down mode) and also MS ATC opened...

So PFE is connected and give me all informations about weather and airport in voice and in text. I use VCP in mode 2 or 3 and it suppose to show me at this point the message of FSUIPC that inform me about the frequency or clearence...for example ComFreq: 100 <> ClearanceFreq: 120.35 e but this not happen and i don't hear or read nothing about frequency.I am in COM1 mode... so when i select the key 0 to 9 i not communicate with PFE ATC ...so i cannot use PFE and his wonderful option to fly..and i am very disappointed...

Of course, by reading many posts in this wonderful forum and i try to change the windows regional settings of PFE from Italian to UK settings but nothing change..i have also changed my italian settings for decimals with the point, but not is changet al least..

I have read my debug_monitor.log file where i have some line with the message " Not tuned to any 'active' ATC" facility!", and i have also discovered that i have not any line about "Current COM's (Routing=0) " in my debug_monitor.log file ...!
What's happen?I will assume that the reason why i cannot communicate with ATC COMM frequency could be because i have not tuned my COM radio to any active ATC in PFE and i my FSX..but how to make it?
In FSX will appear also tha ATC from microsoft is normal this?... so the questions are ...
How i can select a active ATC facility on PFE?
Could be at the least the problem that i have two ATC working together (FSX and PFE)?

If you authorize me i could send my log file...I hope you help me with this problems...many many Thanks from Italy...

Hi Luca,
turn off MS ATC by deselecting pilots voice and turn down volume to "0"

Make sure you have latest version of PFE 2.14

Watch the tutorial videos to see where you think it went wrong and let us know how you get on

Dave only one of your videos listed in the tutorial page actually work, i.e the TGS video all the others are not found for me.

I am going back at home one hour ago..I make this changement us you suggest to me and it seems that the problem was this...So i try to fly again with the same plan and with my surprise it seems to work..Probably the conflict was with MS ATC Default, because now i am able to contest to Clearence ...I not really fly but i was able to make clearence and go to take off with radio control with TGS Gauge..so it seems to work now..i confirm that i have the PFE Version: 2.14.0...and i write to you in the next days to let you know if all is ok!
Thanks..i am very happy to buy this wonderful product and of his support..it's very important for me this aspect..Andy for me works all videos in the tutorial page...

Thanks for the info Luca, it must be a problem with my iPad when trying to view those videos, I must admit that I didn't check them on my PC
