I am trying to use Wideclient and its button screen facility to open and close all the programs on my second, networked pc. One of these programs is FDC live Cockpit.
This is because I want to make this pc mouse and keyboard-free and control everything from a second touch screen whist running the programs on the first ( non-touch) monitor.

I can get FDC Live Cockpit to open using the RunKey parameter no problem.

I am trying to use the CLoseKey facility in wideclient to terminate the program but FDc does't respond. I've tried CloseKey=Yes and CloseKey=Kill and neither works.

Is there any way other this can be done? For instance is it possible to assign a hotkey to close the program, or perhaps anther way that I have missed in the manual?

regards

Den

Sorry Den but I've no idea how WideClient is trying to shut the program down and no, there's no hotkey to do so. You might want to try one of the key to mouse click programs available

Dave
Thanks for the reply.
Further to this Pete Dowson has done some development with Wideclient which, hopefully will solve the problem.

It seems it may be due to the fact that fdc.exe is used to start the program, but then that opens Flightdeck_Companion.exe and fdc.exe then promptly closes itself. As Wideclient is pointed to fdc.exe to start the program it was also looking for that to terminate it, but it wasn't there any more!.

Den

Just a final update.

As usual, Mr D. has come up trumps and provided the facility needed in the latest version of Wideclient.

Regards

Den
