Hi Martin, despite a well written manual, I'm not positive I entered correct data in the Web Display ini file. Please check to see they are correct ( I have also tried entering my computer name and the ip address as the PF3 host) to no avail. The screen does flash when I activate the Web Display. but both Chrome and Edge refuse the connection.

Why does the log file say it cannot find the ini file?

I'm thinking this is a firewall issue but just need to check with you before contacting Dell support. If you need additional info please advise me.

From the log I can see that Web Display is being started automatically by PF3 and appears to be connecting and running correctly.
Using the default values for WD you should be able to connect to http://localhost:7339/ or http://192.168.1.112:7339/ as given in the log.

So a question for you: Are you trying to use a browser on the same system as PF3 and WD, or a different device?
It should be possible to connect from the same system without issue, the firewall may well be getting in the way from another device.

As for 'not finding the .ini file', the file needs to be in the same folder as PF3WebDisplay.exe - that's the only location where the WD program looks.
For many users starting out the default values will work just fine, as the manual tries to explain - in this case no ini file is needed.
This applies in particular to PF3Port, PF3Host and WebPort, so these values are probably not required (WD seems to be connecting just fine).
However, ATCRadio and RemoteText are required if you wish to enable those features, the others in the sample file show possible customisations.

I hope that this helps, but do please come back if you're still having problems.

Martin

Well, I'm back and yes, I am trying to connect on the same pc as FS2020. I had no luck with Dell but will try again.

I didn't realize that the Web Displayer would have the same problem as the regular PF3 Displayer (though I should have). Neither work for months now but Displayer did work before. What is PF3 Displayer and the Web Display looking for? A File or perhaps an ini entry?

Of course I am running FS2020 and PF3 is connected giving me instruction but, PF3 displayer gives me the message "PF3 must be running and connected to the Flight Simulator".... and no port is shown. Web Display will not connect as shown in my earlier post.

I have attached the PF3 ini file as well as the debug log but not shown any of that will be helpful. Could you get with Dave and discuss it. Did Dave write the PF3 Displayer program or someone else?

Any more ideas? Thanks
