This is where we provide interim (beta) versions of PF3, giving you the opportunity to try any new features or fixes before the next major release. It also helps us to have more people testing and feeding back with any issues found.

The attached ZIP file will normally only contain two files, PF3.exe and the BetaReadMe.txt which contains details about the changes and any other important relevant information.

PLEASE READ the BetaReadMe.txt file

Please always make a copy of your existing PF3.exe file before applying this so you will be able to step back should you find the beta version unusable.

Simply unzip the attached PF3.exe into your main PF3 folder.

Any problems should be reported by posting to THIS thread and please remember to include your debug log where necessary

Enjoy!

Hi Dave. Yes (as you already know!), the COM log shows text now, whatever. :)

One thing I noticed today however, the SID option got accidentally unchecked (easily done I find, for some reason??) in the FP Adjustment window. So on final I was suddenly vectored away from the runway (not sure why that happens??). I ignored it (and the instruction to 'maintain 6500'), as I was already on the localizer with G/S set to activate very shortly.

OK... but PF3 always used to 'catch up' in such situations and realise that you were on the ground at some stage. It doesn't seem to do that now: I was told to turn to 310 and maintain 6500' right till I was at the gate and turned off the power.

Otherwise, all was working very nicely. Thanks!

PF3 was still waiting for you to follow your last ATC instruction to turn to 310, which you didn't. If your STAR option was turned off you would get vectors

Yes, I know Dave; but the point I was making is that PF3 used to realise that the flight had moved on and catch up, so to speak: ATC would quite soon be telling me I am cleared to land, then vacate runway, then to taxi to the stand or whatever, in fairly quick succession. Now, if you miss a step, deliberately or accidentally, it kind of gets stuck, repeating the same inappropriate instructions over and over. It didn't use to, for example, keep telling me to turn to heading xxx when I am already parked at the gate with engines shut down. No longer seems to monitor where the aircraft is ;)

I think it's just this particular scenario to be honest as nothing's changed with regard to 'catching up' :)
