Hi all,

I bought PF3 a few months back and having got through the initial brain melt in understanding it, I now find it really quick and easy to setup for a flight. A very immersive piece of software in my opinion. I also bought PFEtoXplane and that works a treat too!

One question i do have is am i able to use both COM1 and COM2 during a session / flight? I find that i can select 1, 2 or Auto in the options but even with auto, whichever COM i use first is the only one i can use. Ideally while approaching a destination i would like to use ATIS on COM2 while still keeping all other communication on COM1.

Thanks in advance!

Thank you for your kind words, much appreciated.

You certainly can switch between radios although I can't guarantee that works with all high-end 3rd party aircraft. Which aircraft have you tried?

Thanks for the quick response!

Certainly Fenix and PMDG 736 in MSFS.

Several in X-Plane 12 as well although i appreciate that's not an officially supported sim.

If it should be working in those two MSFS aircraft i will do more messing about with it in them to see.

What is the Com1 / Com2 / Auto option for in PF3 options? I thought it was to select which of them you wanted to use.

Correct. If you have it set to Auto and switch radios in the a/c PF3 will/should detect the change
