Hello,

So I know that there are a lot of topics regarding this, but browsing them didn't help me. So, I have FS9 (updated to 9.1) and FSUIPC 3.980A, and FDC live cockpit updated to version 3.11.0 (the same problems happens from version3.5 to version 3.11). When I hit the connect button, I get this: ''Error 429-ActiveX can't create object in ''setupdirectsound" routine''. After hitting OK, FCD shuts down. My audio drivers are updated. I'm using WIN7 home premium 64bit. Windows defender has been fully disabled, just like the antivirus program (AVG).
If I don't click ok on the error message and go back to FS9, a small window says ''FDC connecting'', later ''FDC establishing''....and then it just goes away.

Hope I have given enough info, and hope you can tell me how to fix this.

Thank you, but it was of no help. I downloaded both dx7vb and comdlg32, but when I try to execute the file in ''run' it says that it isn't compatible with 64bit Windows. Pls help ./
