Hi,
I've used PF3 for many years with no problems. Recently I had to do a complete uninstall of of P3Dv5, and in order to have a completely new setup, I uninstalled/reinstalled all of my ancillary programs too.
In my old installation of PF3 I could open a flight plan and see the plan with its waypoints and there I could do several things.
1. I could see the waypoints from the plan.
2. I could hover the mouse over each waypoint and see the distance from both the one above and the one below.
3. I had a column in which I could set the Altitude for the corresponding waypoint.
4. If I chose Star, I got another column in which I could double click to set the beginning of the Star.

My new PF3 is different:
1. For waypoints I only see XXX, and there is one more XXX than the original plan has waypoints.
2. When I hover the mouse over each waypoint I only see the distance from Departure and Destination.
3. I still have an Altitude column if I select Allow manual adjustments, but the XXX waypoints do not in any way correspond to the
waypoints from the original plan.
4. The Set START of STAR button does nothing at all.

Is there anyway I can return to the previous extremely satisfactory situation I benefitted from for so long?

Regards, Jim H.

Hi again,
I checked PF3 to verify what I've typed in the original message. The "Start Star" button does work, just differently from before.

Previously when I pressed the "Connect to FS" button, up popped a little info window with data. Now when I press that button PF3 simply crashes out.

Regards, Jim

What version of PF3 are you running Jim?

If it's not 3.20.0 you need to download and install the latest cumulative updates package from the 'Maintenance Release' post at the top of this forum.

Hi Dave,

I've just completed a two hour, well regulated flight, so I am back where I always used to be!

Thanks a million for giving me the solution to all my PF3 troubles.

Best Regards, Jim
