I used a simbrief FP for a LIMC-LIMJ flight with sid and star. Taxi guidance did not work; After LIMJ approach asked to switch to tower, CP did not change frequencies. I was hand flying the aircraft, so I landed without being able to change frequency manually. When off the the runway, I switched to tower frequency, yet no response to taxi to gate. I ended my flight at this point.
Except for these issues, the rest of the flight, including altitude instructions worked well.
I am still learning how to use this program, so excuse what might be oversights on my part.

Sorry but I can't spend time checking this log as you're running an old (unsupported) version (3.16.0) of PF3. Please download/install the latest cumulative updates package from the 'Maintenance Release' post above. If you have further issues when using the latest version please come back and post again.

Hi Dave,
For your information, this is the official file that your site provided when I first purchased the program several days ago. Not knowing, after installation, the program would show that it was up to date when I clicked the update button.
It was by chance that I looked at the version number that I saw it was v 3.16.After logging on the forum, I saw that there's a 3.19 maintenance upgrade, which needs to be installed manually rather than through the "update" button.

I've got the program up to date now, and will provide the log accordingly.

We are continually updating PF3 but it doesn't make any sense to update the full base installer each time. Since 3.16.0 there have been some fixes to the update mechanism.

I've got v3.19 and flew from liml-LIMJ with no sids or star checked in PF3.
1. Ground gives taxi instruction to runway hold.
2. CP will not change frequency to tower.
3. If I manually tune to tower from Parking gate after ground has already given me taxi instructions, I receive the same taxi instructions to runway hold.
4. When I flew the flight plan, departure did not vector me until after I reached FAF point LIMJ.

I thought that vectors are provided when there are no sids or stars checked in PF3. In this case, no vectors until FAF for the entire flight plan. Altitude instructions were excellent.

thanks for your assistance.

1. Good

2. If the CP doesn't change to Tower it's probably because you aren't at the end of the runway, as in your case here. In this situation simply tune to Tower when you reach the holding point then hit Hotkey #6

3. You don't want to do that. Remain on Ground frequency till you reach the holding point

4. This happened because you never followed ATC instructions. When given takeoff clearance you were told to fly heading 340... which you never did

Thank you. I will fly the plan again, and report. Once again, I appreciate your quick replies during these early fun and rough starts with PF3.

Hi Dave,
Your were correct on all points. The same flight plan worked flawlessly, except for TG simply not coming on both during departure and arrival.
I can live without TG for the moment. Thanks again for your help.

If TGS isn't working please post another log file so we can take a look... it's probably just a setting
