Hello,
I am using AS16 & ASCA. When FSX is loaded standing at the gate, I´ll try to get ATIS info. But the info is not really true...
Where does PF3 get the weather info from? Which file is it and where is it?

Depending on your setup, you may need to wait several minutes after AS16 starts for the weather to be fully downloaded, injected, and stable in FSX before the ATIS is accurate. If you check ATIS before the weather is fully loaded you will get default weather conditions. Also it's a good idea to have AI activity off (0%) during this process so the AI don't start landing and departing on the wrong runway. Set the AI at the desired level once the weather is fully loaded and stable. As an alternative you may be able to use the 'Refresh AI' feature of your weather add-on when the weather is fully loaded, which will wipe out any current AI and start afresh under the correct wind conditions.

Okay, I did another test.

1. FSX fired up with 0% traffic and waited for 2 minutes.
2. Started Active Sky 16 and waited till the weather was fully up an running. I also loaded a flightplan and made a refresh (but the refresh is not really needed I think).
3. Started WideClient and waited till the connection was indicated (almost instantly).
4. Started PF3, loaded a FLT-plan and connect.
5. Started PF3_Displayer to have the freq. for ATIS
6. Remotetext also started.

Everything looks fine

After dialing the ATIS freq., this time indicated in the sim, still no luck.
Is there something wrong with FSUIPC?

If you haven't tried another flight since this test please let me see your debug_monitor.log file from your main PF3\Logs folder. If not please recreate the above test and then let me see the resulting debug_monitor.log file after you exit PF3

Well there are no errors showing in the log so I really don't know why your weathe engine is not populating the weather as it should. As I say, we use FSUIPC for the weather interface and that has been working absolutely fine for many, many years. So I'm stumped really.

Okay, I´ll check a little more. Maybe a full reinstall of Active Sky 16 might help.

Another test, without a reinstall of AS16&ASCA, showed the tower has the active weather info, when asking for takeoff. He will give wind data with permission for takeoff. The data is correct. I think I don´t need to reinstall AS16&ASCA...

A short offtopic question: Is there only ATC chatter for the AI, or also random chatters

Thanks for letting us know. Again, it's possible there is a delay in loading the weather data but it does sound like the data is being loaded eventually.

There is no random or canned chatter in PF3. All chatter depends on AI activity as well as the specific frequency or facility. For example, if you are tuned to Tower, you will only hear AI that are tuned to Tower, not AI tuned to Departure or Center.
