Hello, I have started to use PF3 atc and I am facing some issues. Maybe it is already discussed or there's in the manual however i struggle to find some concentrate proper answers to these questions:
1. How to make my co pilot tune ti frequencies however not directly to all before taxi. I mean 1. clearance first, 2. wait for me to config plane, 3. then i can ask myself for start and push.
2. How and when to change take off runway? Seems W key does not work, or at least nothing happens when i press on it.
3. I use PFPX and PMDG so i don't need ATC vectors to finals (no vectors to STAR), just let me fly according to my FMC plan. How to make ATC comply with this and stop giving me headings?

Thank you for support.

Br,

Ovidijus U.

1. On the Options #1 screen, virtual copilot modes, select CP Mode 1. In this mode the copilot handles only frequency changes. Push and Start options are at lower right on the same screen.
2. Use Ctrl+Shft+W (hold down Ctrl and Shft and W) to request a runway change. This can only be done after a runway has been assigned.
3. On the SIDs/STARs screen, at the bottom, check the STARs Active box. This will turn off vectoring after your last waypoint. You will be given a runway assignment and will need to get to the assigned runway without vectors.

Thank you for your reply. Was testing the options however are there separate keys for requesting taxi, departure etc? When cleared for taxi, could not get the runway and taxi clearance (kept clicking 0,but nothing happened). When at the runway, no clearance for departure either...

@Ovidijus - I hope you won't mind my suggesting this but have you considered printing out the part of the manual (.....PF3/Help/PF3 User Guide/pages 136-138) so that you have a convenient 'to hand' list of all the default key strokes that are available ? Whilst it may not resolve all your issues it may be of some help and reference ;-)

Or you could use the PF3_Display utility or even print the PF3_Disp.Dat files from the PF3_Displayer folder :)
