Hi Dave,

Another test flight this time using default A320neo without the FlyByWire enhancement mod. Noticed even with the default A320 PF3 does not tune radios but I got PF3 ATC right up until climb to cruising altitude instruction and then nothing.

I continued with flight and PF3 paused sim at destination as I had previously configured.

After flight I checked and even the default FS2020 ATC does not tune radios on the A320neo default. So I do not believe the radio functionaility has been added to this aircraft and something else is going on here unrelated to what the radio frequencies are set to.

And in previous flights PF3 has worked for me right up until the point it pauses the sim.

logs attached

Regards

The reason PF3 was not communicating was due to you changing COM frequency.

You were handed off and tuned to Scottish Control on 123.55 at 14.03 but at 14.13 you then tuned to 119.87. You stayed on that frequency till 14.21 and then changed to 118.77. You stayed on the frequency till you landed. So from 14.13 you weren't tuned to any ATC facility

Hmmm, very strange I don't think changed any frequency but I will try flight again tomorrow.

Maybe there's something very strange going on with that aircraft then?

Could it be a key mapping issue ? Turning off FS2020 ATC voices is probably not turning off FS2020 ATC which most likely reacts to key input 0..9.

Well yes, whichever hotkeys you use in PF3 would have to be removed from FS2020 configuration

Ah now I understand what happened here.

I must have had MSFS AI Control "Manage Comms" enabled. You cannot disable MSFS default ATC you can only shut it up a not respond to it. But with AI Managed Comms enabled it rattles away in the background doing its own thing. And Yes MSFS ATC hands you over to Scottish Control 119.87 after departure and then on to Manchester Control 118.77.

And because neither MSFS ATC or PF3 is updating the COMMS Radio frequency digits in the A320neo you are not going to pick up on the frequency change being made.

Hello Dave, I am having the same problem. Before the FSUIPC display (CC) Hotfix I was able to hear my PF3 VCP. I usualy fly with VCP on; VCP the comm and flies.
After the CC fix VCP functions normally and ATC hears him, I however cannot. This happens during all phases of flight. My VCP volume is dialed up. Also noticed on PF3 interface "blinking nav lights" not working.
Absolutely love this program and thanks.

Happy Holidays,
AC

Hello again Dave, I flew again this morning and got the same "VCP silent" problem. I forgot to mention in my last post that I use MCE along with PF3. I also start PF3 using the Randomizer program. Whether I use Randomizer or not the problem is still the same, the VCP voice cannot be heard.
VCP has a voice selected which gets set to "none" once I select the PF3 connect to FS button, then the PF3 nav lights stop blinking and VCP voice is gone. VCP still operates "normally"; transmitting and receiving ATC messages and flying the airplane if I require VCP to fly.
Along with all this, other problems then crop up.
On departure ATC will not issue "cleared to xxxx or cleared own navigation" call.
On arrival ATC used to call a few miles from my last waypoint "contact Approach on freq xxx.x", once reaching my last waypoint ATC cleared me for the approach to runway XX.
Now, ATC calls "contact Approach on freq xxx.x" AT the last waypoint. When I switch to Approach freq the tell me "fly present heading" then nothing else. All I can do is switch to TWR. When I check in with TWR, controller says "continue approach" which I do however I have not been assigned a runway to fly an approach to.

Hope all this helps and thank again.

Regards,
AC
