Yup, same error. Tried to download the file and put it in the PF3 folder, no luck.

You can't just drop it in the PF3 folder, it needs registering. On a 64 bit system the file should be in the C:\Windows\Syswow64 folder and a 32 it system it goes into C:\Windows\system32.

Having said that I'm not convinced the problem is a missing file. That file was never part of the original installation nor this update. It has not been removed in this update either. My suspicion is a recent Windows update could be the cause.

So, firstly you need to see if the file exists please check to see if the file actually exists (see above for locations)

Next thing to try (working on the assumption it's a recent Win Update causing contention along the way) please go to start PF3, go to Options #2 then select Advanced Options. Under the Misc section turn OFF 'Use Skins'. Stop and restart PF3 and see if the problem still exists.

Sadly, neither things fixed it. Putting it in syswow64 and system32, nor disabling skins

So are you saying the file is missing on your system?

When you copied it to the folder did you register it? eg. regsvr32 comdlg32.ocx

Theeere we go :) Ok, I'm either dumb or not THAT tech savvy. Didn't know I need to actually register it via the regsvr32 command
Now it works like a charm. No need to disable skins, all works, lets get down to testing this bad boy of a new version <3

You probably have windows 10(?) polish version right? Be sure to put the file in the system32 folder.
Press Windows key type in cmd right click on "Wiersz Poleceń" and "Uruchom jako administrator"
Then type in the command prompt "regsvr32 comdlg32.ocx". It should work then
