Wondering what went wrong with this flight. Be good if someone could have a look at the log...

The last contact I had was asking me to tune to LAX approach. I was in Mode 2 and the frequency changed automatically (was it 118.70? - just from memory here), but there was no contact, even when I tried manually via the keyboard. There was a little confirming hiss sound (I have that feature set up in PF3, so that I hear when an input has gone through OK), but no ATC response.

After landing, I tuned to KLAX ground manually (121.65) and then ATC resumed. But what happened in the interim?

Thanks.

Going to have to ask Dave to look at this. You did in fact make contact with Approach, and got a response:
Quote:
09/10/2018 16:14:40: 670 - Transcript: 'American 325 Contact Approach on 118.7 '
09/10/2018 16:14:46: 790 - Transcript: '118.7 American 325 '
09/10/2018 16:14:56: 790 - Transcript: 'Approach American 325 with you out of 9 thousand 5 hundred for 8 thousand '
09/10/2018 16:15:05: 790 - Transcript: 'Roger American 325 Altimeter is 2992 '
After this, the log shows
Quote:
09/10/2018 16:15:19: 380 - Failed 'contact approach' checks!
and I'm not sure why.

I think I found a little bug where the approach frequency changed... one of those one-off timing issues.

Fix for the next release :)
