Ok - I gave in a and bought PF3 again having first deleted the original that didn't work with P3DV4.1.

However, having downloaded it, I can't even install it! And I only have what's left of the 24 hours because the link only lasts that long.

I've tried the long password using 7zip and when that didn't work Winzip. That didn't work either so it seems I've wasted my money.

The truth is, I don't really know what I'm supposed to do. When I press the .exe I'm expectingi it to start the installation. Instead, I get the message; 'This app can't run on your PC To find a version for your PC check with the software publisher.'

Is that you, or is it Windows 10 which I know is bang up to date anyway?

John

The password is correct, provided you are using the COMPLETE password as defined in the email. You have to unzip all the file before you can run the installer.

What message are you receiving when you enter the password?

I've now managed to get to the stage where I have the PF3 installer.exe in C/Downloads/Pf3 full installer/Pf3 Installation set-up.exe then when I double click it I get the notice;

'This app can't run on your PC.
To find a version for your PC, check with the software publisher.'

Any ideas? I take it PF3 will work with P3Dv4.1?

John
P.S. If you intend to give me instructions, you know I'm as thick as two short planks, so give them in really plain, strait-forward English please. Many thanks.

After you unzip the contents of the PF3_Installer.ZIP file you should have 3 files in your target folder, which can be wherever you want.

The files are:-

PF3_Installation_Setup.exe
PF3_Installation_Setup-1.bin
PF3_Installation_Setup-2.bin

Do you have each of these files? If not you haven't unzipped them properly. When unzipping take care that you don't just have one file selected as that will be the only one unzipped.

This is what I've got Dave;

PF3_Installation_Setup.exe
PF3_Installation_Setup-1.bin
PF3_Installation_Setup-2.bin

John,

Are you able to show me a screen shot of the folder where these files reside? If not please tell me the size of each file after you've unzipped them.

You beat me to it. I've just looked and there's nothing in them!

The download contains 2.38 GB's on both disc and size. I tried to open the zip using 7-zip and gave the password but, of course, that didn't work I suppose because it's now well out of time?

So, I got the attached usual notice listin the path and Data errors 'wrong password?' etc.

Am I ever going to get this working?

I suppose its not practicle for you to do it for me on Team Viewer?

John

The password doesn't expire on the zip file and so by your answer I can now assume the problem to be is you are unable to unzip the files... it just threw me a bit when you said when trying to run the installer you had an error because that can only be done after unzipping.

Yes of course I can provide remote help, just email me direct and we'll set something up

Just wanted to acknowledge and thank you publicly for the enormous help you gave me by getting PF3 to work with P3Dv4.1 on my computer this afternoon Dave. I could never in a million years have done it myself.

My very great thanks...big time!
