Hi

I am running PFE v2.11.1 I have set a SID name and initial altitude of 6,000 for EGLL for RWY 9R and RWY 27L ( I am using Aerosoft EGLL scenery where those are the only takeoff runways)

I created a flight from EGLL to EGNV with a cruise alt of 26,000. When I got takeoff clearance from Tower they instructed me to climb to 4,000 and gave me a HDG to follow immediately after takeoff. After takeoff I was instructed to climb further and the rest of the flight was normal.

I thought that because I had specified a SID with an altitude (6,000 feet), Tower would have told me to fly my SID without giving me altitude restrictions or HDG instructions until I had reached 6,000 ?

The CP was controling the radios at the time. Is there a step I am missing ?

Many thanks

Peter

Hi Peter,

You also have to turn SID's 'Active' (bottom left of the SID/STAR screen)

Thanks Dave.

I had initially thought that the "SID active" selection was only if I had not selected details for individual runways. Thanks for clarifying that.

Peter
